Patient Information

To make an appointment, please phone the clinic on (02) 6662 1811

You may print off the registration form, fill in your information and bring this along with your Medicare card and/or any concession cards to your first visit.

We are now using SMS (text messages) for the following:

  • Health promotions (i.e. flu campaign)
  • Patient reminders
  • Reminders to book annual reviews

Please advise a member of staff if you do not wish to receive these messages.

Privacy policy

Here at Maria Clinic, we take patient privacy very seriously. Due to this, we cannot supply results and medical details over the phone or send/give out patient information without written consent. Your medical record is a confidential document. We are committed to maintaining the confidentiality and security of your personal health information at all times and to ensuring this information is only available to authorized staff members.  If you are concerned about your privacy, please discuss this with a doctor or member of staff.

Cancellations

We understand that it can be difficult to get an appointment when you'd like therefore we ask our patients to contact the practice if they are unable to attend their scheduled appointments. Not attending an appointment can result in charges.

We often have waiting lists of patients hoping to get appointments, please help us help them by letting us know if you can't attend your appointment.

Test Results

If you would like to enquire about any test results, please phone reception between 11am and 1:30 pm as our staff will have more time to deal with the requests during these hours.

Our practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection, therefore we will only release test results to the person whom they are related unless prior permission has been given for the release of this information.

It is your responsibility to check your results and to make an appointment to discuss them with your doctor if you're advised to do so.

Please allow 72 hours before phoning the surgery for your medical results. Your doctor will call or ask for you to make an appointment if they believe the results need discussing.

Fees

Maria Clinic is a mixed billing practice. All pensioners, veteran affairs card-holders and health care card-holders are bulk-billed. Please bring your Medicare card and concession with you to the clinic.

For all other private patients, a list of fees are available at reception. Fees are payable at the time of consultation. Please pay by cash, cheque, Visa MasterCard or EFTPOS.

Non English Speaking Patients

If you should need an interpreter or sign language interpreter during your consultation, please notify reception ahead of your appointment for us to make the appropriate arrangements.

Doctors can contact an interpreter via telephone to assist non-English speaking patients.
